Hey, I’m Elisa - a documentary-style wedding content creator based in Minnesota! Welcome to the Slap Social Club - a complete wedding content coverage and creation service for brides who want their day on video in a candid, shareable, and natural way.
This profession is a new and emerging field in the wedding industry and is often misunderstood. After graduating with my Bachelor's in Marketing & Advertising, I returned to my home roots in Minnesota and pioneered a new marketing position at the beginning of 2024 with a garden center I’d previously been employed with. In conjunction with my new position, I also was recruited as a content creator for a luxury wedding PR and marketing agency, where my experience in social media, content creation, marketing, and video grew tremendously.
With my own wedding coming up in 2025, I struggled to find someone trustworthy to take videos as I did. We consume most of our video content through social media, through a lens of an iPhone, very candid, shareable, real, and that's the video aesthetic I desired for my wedding day.
Slap Social Club was formed out a deep need in my community - the lack of wedding content creators. I quickly recognized the demand for this new field and launched head-first into wedding content creation. What's ironic is that I always wanted to stay as far away from the wedding industry as possible. I never wanted to get involved.
I have a strong background in photography, but never wanted to get into wedding photography for a variety of reasons. I'm most into creative portraits, product, and branding than anything else. But, planning a wedding and working with amazing wedding industry leaders made me fall in love with the wedding industry and that's where Slap Social Club started to form.
I focus on documenting your wedding day in an eye-appealing way, with no weird angles and no missed moments. My style is very timeless, yet candid, and I seek to elevate the wedding day experience through thoughtful storytelling that captures genuine moments. Slap Social Club was humorously named after my continuous mission to create content that slaps (a very Gen Z term to describe something excellent).
